There is no doubt that the Covid-19 pandemic threw a wrench in the plans for uncountable weddings. With the drastic turn 2020 took in just 3 months, the special day planned with all your loved ones had to take a hiatus. With restrictions on social gatherings, going to public places and having any close contact with other people, a new social norm was created for weddings this year. As a brief insight into this new social norm, here are the current guidelines set by the Ontario government for social gatherings amidst this pandemic:
- For indoor gatherings, a maximum of 50 people is permitted.
- For outdoor gatherings, a maximum of 100 people is permitted.
- Face masks/coverings are mandatory when in enclosed public spaces.
- For both indoor and outdoor gatherings, the physical distancing of at least 2 meters needs to be enforced along with frequent handwashing/sanitization.
